Co-founder of AtelierPhD, Graduate Center, NY

(January 2015-June 2016)

Atelier, Ph.D. is a student-run career organization that aims to help Ph.D. students know what they can do with a Ph.D. degree.

  • Created the initial idea and mission for the AtelierPhD organization.

  • Responsible for organizing panel discussions with speakers for specific topics of discussion. 

  • Prepared and disseminated flyers to prominent institutions & universities in New York City. 

  • Successfully worked with team members to ensure each event was run effectively, efficiently, and on schedule.

  • Responsible for interviewing & pre-screening speakers & assigning speakers to appropriate topic related panels.

  • Liaised with the CUNY Office of Career Planning & Professional Development.

  • Managed team meetings.

  • Organized two panel discussion series entitled "Leaving the Hallowed Halls".

Co-founder/Project Manager: BETON Game Development Team

(August 2012- December 2014)    

Beton Game Development Team is a student-run game development team which creates games.          

  • Assembled a team for a platformer computer game called “Princess Charming.”

  • Recruited graphic designer, 3D modeler from different social recruitment agencies.

  • Planned, organized, controlled the resources of the game.

  • Managed the timeline and project scope to complete the demo of the game on schedule.

  • Successfully completed the game development and launched demo of the game.

 

Founder of Cazkolik Izmir and New York branches www.cazkolik.com

(October 2010- August 2015)

  • Interviewed jazz musicians both in Izmir (Turkey) and in New York.

  • Served as a reporter and a writer at www.cazkolik.com

  • Broadcast a radio program (October 2012 - October 2013).
